The Bahamas is an independent Caribbean country located in the North Atlantic Ocean, north east of Cuba and southeast of Florida. It is a sovereign country that has two thousand cays and seven hundred islands forming an archipelago. Bahamas is divided into a total of twenty- one districts but there was never a known flag for each district. It has a tropical marine climate. It offers moderate warm waters.

The Bahamas has a heavily- dependent economy focused on tourism and offshore banking. This belongs to the wealthiest Caribbean country. Their tourism employs half of their whole labor force. Because of the steady growth of their tourism receipts, there was a boom in construction of new hotels, resorts and new residences.

Among the 21 districts of The Bahamas, there are more than 30 islands in here. These islands have become fashionable tourist spots. The hotels here offer fine amenities for all the visitors. They will guide you to go through the wonders of nature. They have facilities like U/W camera and other equipments, snorkeling trips, dive packages and private charters. Exciting isnt it?

 If you want to do something different and fun, then you need to go canoeing. Canoeing is a day out in the river just to have fun with friends or family. It can be relaxing or it can be thrilling due to the strong currents of the water moving you around. You have to paddle to get through it so you can go further down the river. Watch out because the water can flip your canoe over, and you can get knocked into the water and the currents will take you away. You also have to watch out for waterfalls because they are dangerous. When you are coming up or near a waterfall, the water will be rough at first and then it will be smooth. You will hear the sound of water getting stronger and stronger. That is because the water is going off the cliff to the water below.

It can be just a cruise down the river to enjoy the day, but you have to paddle to stay away from the rocks or tree stumps that are sticking out of the water, which can hit the canoe and make it flip over or knock you right out of it and into the water. You have to know what to do, whether you are in front or at the end of the canoe because if you steer it wrong, then you can turn the canoe around or make it hit something, and you will hit it hard. It doesn’t matter if you are going fast or not because it will still have a good force to it because of the water pull. But don’t let it scare you because it is easy to do and to learn. All you have to do is listen to what they have to show you.

If you are just going down a river that does not require the presence of a professional, then you do not have to worry about anything because it is smooth to ride on. But if you do have to have a professional accompany you, then that means you are going white water rafting. That is when you are going down a strong river where the water hits at every angle. The water will knock you around, and you have to paddle quickly and fast to get out of the currents. You will have water flying everywhere, and you will get all wet. This sounds so exciting and thrilling, so go experience it for yourselves.
